Sleep Paralysis: A Short Animation
This is a concept animation I created in 2021 for a college assignment, aiming to depict the emotions and experiences of the previous year during the pandemic and quarantine.ย
Through this animation, I triedย to draw out the continuous unsettling and surreal atmosphere that felt like a nightmare that the time felt like.
Process: I had a vision of what the animation needed to tell and in the particular way that was going to happen. A quick sketch and animaticย (the one below) helped me decide the pace, treatment and other elements necessary for the final animation. Environmental sounds were sourced from Freesound.org, while I personally created the interactive sounds.
